Storefront Door Repair in Las Vegas

Aluminum · Glass · Adams Rite Hardware

Sagging, dragging, won't-latch storefront doors put back in line — hardware, pivots and alignment handled in one visit.

Aluminum storefront doors are their own trade. The narrow stile leaves no room for ordinary locksets, so they run specialized hardware — Adams Rite–pattern deadlatches, hook bolts, paddles, pivots and continuous hinges. General handymen improvise on these doors and make them worse; we carry the correct parts and set the geometry the way the door was engineered to hang.

What We Repair on Storefront Doors

The Real Cause Is Usually Alignment

Nine out of ten "broken locks" are doors that dropped

When pivots wear, the door settles a few millimeters — enough that the latch no longer meets the strike. Staff start slamming and yanking, which finishes off the latch, and now there are two problems. Replacing the lock without lifting the door back into place fixes nothing; we do both, in that order.

Common MistakeFiling the strike plate wider so the sagging door still latches — it works for a month, then the door has dropped past the "fix" and the frame is damaged too.

Storefront doors also depend on their closers — a mis-adjusted closer slams the door out of alignment all day. We service both together; see commercial door closers. If your storefront needs new locks rather than repair, that's commercial lock installation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why won't my storefront door latch?

Usually door sag: worn pivots or a dropped bottom rail throw the deadlatch out of line with the strike. We realign the door and rebuild the pivots rather than forcing the lock.

Can you replace just the lock in an aluminum door?

Yes — deadlatches, hook bolts and paddles are modular parts. We swap the failed component; the door and glass stay untouched.

My door slams in the wind — can you fix that?

That's the closer, not the lock. We adjust and replace surface and concealed closers on storefront doors as part of the same visit.
